Voyager of the Seas | Royal Promenade

This is the Royal Promenade, a mall on the Voyager of the Seas that includes little shops, cafes, and bars.

Less than a year

Here’s a photo of beautiful Smith’s Cove, a beach in Grand Cayman. This is where we’ll be getting married! We’ll stop at Grand Cayman on January 10th, 2008, the fifth day of the cruise.

Please contact Dennis Nienkerk, the groom’s father, as soon as possible to book your cabin. Cruises like these typically book from the top down and the bottom up, meaning that the most expensive and the cheapest cabins are the first to go!

Deposits are $250 per person and must be made to hold the booking. They should be made with a credit or debit card. Deposits are fully refundable until October 27, 2007. Final payments are due on October 28, 2007.

You may contact Dennis at 214.361.0027 (office) or 214.680.7607 (cell).

Winter in the Caribbean

Hopefully everyone has received our fabulous save the date postcards by now. If you have any questions, feel free to post a comment, email us, or call us. We’ll be updating this site every week with more information and other good stuff. We really hope everyone can join us for the cruise — we couldn’t be more excited about it.

So you might be wondering what the weather will be like during the cruise. Oddly enough, the beaches of the Caribbean won’t be covered in snow and lined with frozen palm trees. I know, I know — Todd and I were shocked to find this out, too.

But seriously, the weather in the Caribbean is consistent throughout the year — temperatures in January typically stay in the 70 to 80 degree range. Another great thing about cruising in January: hurricane season will be over!

More updates to come

Kristin and I are working out the logistics, so check back in a week or so for more details about The Most Excellent Wedding in History™.

Oh — Save the Dates will be printed and mailed shortly.
